I’ve been drawing and posting these iPad sketches to my Facebook page as I complete each one, usually on Saturday mornings. Two occurrences conspired to produce these sketches. One, my exploring the use of a stylus with the iPad drawing app, Sketchbook Express; and wanting to do something with the ever-expanding collection of my wife’s witticisms which I’ve been recording and saving over the years. The fact is I draw the sketches to give visual support to the words, which are, without exception, Manita’s verbatim utterances, unabashedly revealing her strong personal views. I think her words resonate with individuals and couples familiar with verbal, playful sparring.
